At twenty-nine, Zhou Yanshan bolts from the big city, breaks free from her corporate drone fate, and takes over a little general store in her hometown.
She also immediately sets her sights on the gorgeous driver who delivers her stock.
The driver’s name is Lian Wan. She lives in the apartment above the store. She’s young, strikingly good-looking, but always wears a cold expression. Her whole vibe is cool and distant, and her replies are usually just a word or two. One time when Zhou Yanshan leaned in a bit too close, Lian Wan actually stepped back half a pace, like she couldn’t stand the scent of her perfume or the sight of her tiny camisole.
Tsk. Propping her chin on her hand, Zhou Yanshan thinks in dissatisfaction: is she really that scared of me?
She doesn’t expect that in the very next second, after Lian Wan finishes unloading, the driver comes inside for a drink of water, catches a glimpse of Zhou Yanshan dressed so lightly—and her face flushes scarlet all the way to the tips of her ears. She turns her back, plants herself there, and doesn’t even dare look over her shoulder.
Later on, Lian Wan’s truck pulls up in front of the shop one evening… and doesn’t leave the whole night.
